In this journey into second-chance love, author Cheryl Robinson invites us to ponder whether we would rekindle a romance with someone who had broken a promise to forsake all others.

Meet Ray and Sarita Saint. In 1987, they pledged to love, honor, and cherish each other until death. When Ray goes missing a year later, Sarita wonders whether he’s dead or alive. While she was dreaming of their happily ever after, Ray was exploring greener pastures, a new relationship. Sarita—a virgin until marriage—took her vows seriously and believed Ray did, too. Instead, he left their marriage and their life in Detroit to reinvent himself. Sarita always held out hope that he would return one day. And he does. It’s twenty-seven years later, and Ray is determined to find his one true love. What he discovers has him question everything he thought he knew about Sarita, as well as himself.

Welcome Cheryl to Nothing But Books Blog.

Tell us about your writing process. Do you outline, or are you more of a seat-of-your-pants type of writer?

I use Scrivener to keep track of things, especially characters and timelines, but I don’t outline. I also use several journals for the times when I’m tired of sitting in front of a computer screen and would rather write a chapter freehand.

What is the highest goal that you desire to meet as an author?

I’d love to see one of my books come to life. Allow me to be more specific. I’d love to see this trilogy on the big screen because I want to meet Boone in person, I want to meet Ray, and Sarita, Miss King—everyone.

How do you spend your free time?

I have a book coming out in June and another one coming out in January, so I spend my free time writing, and my favorite place to go and unwind is in my office to write. I have so many books that I want to read that I can’t get to right now, and now I’ve started on an audiobook kick just to get around to some of them.

What do you have in store next for readers?

The third book in the trilogy will be released in June, and then a standalone novel that features one of the characters from the trilogy will be released in January.

Describe your book in three words.

Introspective adult drama.

I'm with you Cheryl I want to see these characters come to LIFE. I could probably cast them all except, guess who? Ms. King at first I thought Loretta Devine, but she would have to be smaller and a little more beaten by life. But Jenifer Lewis might work, if you watch her on Black-ish that is Ms King...LOL

Great story and I'm looking forward to Book 3

Laverne,
Really Jennifer Lewis? I agree their personalities are somewhat similar, but they look nothing alike, but I guess she could get into character. As I'm typing this, I realize you're right...LOL...she would be perfect! In fact, I just googled her and looked at a few of her pictures. I had been thinking more along the lines of Jada Pinkett Smith for the younger Miss Smith (book 1).

Now Jada in my imagination that is Reeds mother. Ms King is tough I think Ms Lewis attitude is perfect it’s the look that is lacking.
