school. She wishes her summer vacation wouldn't have to end. She would rather lounge
on the beach or play basketball. What could Ms. Confetti be so worried about?
This quirky story reminds kids that everyone has fears about the first day of
school, even teachers.

Quarles is a children’s book author and teacher with over 20 years of
experience in the field of education.
Ms. Quarles’ students inspired her to write and self publish her first
e-book Kindergartner Wisdom: The Best
Advice I Ever Got Came from Kindergartners in 2014. Shondra later went on to self-publish her
first paperback book, The Teacher Who Didn’t Want to Go to School, which earned her a prestigious award from the
National Celebrity Educators. This book
was also a children’s book of the year finalist for the 2017 Indie Author
Legacy Awards.
