I have the pleasure of introducing a good friend, writer and the visionary behind “I Am Royalty” … Emmanuel Brown.

Welcome Emmanuel to Empowered to Prosper. Tell us about yourself?

My name is Emmanuel Brown I am webmaster, writer, and publisher of an anthology series called I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History.

What is the purpose for profile in black history?

The purpose of I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History is to promote positive aspects of Black Americans in the hopes of sharing enough positive images to overshadow the negative things that we see.

What is it that you want people to receive from your work or ministry?

I would like for people to receive inspiration that stretches the boundaries that we set for ourselves. I would like for I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History to open minds to new ideals that some of our young people have overlooked or never knew existed. It is up to each one of us to correct the mistakes in our society, preferably together, and it is up to us to use positive examples to create positive possibilities.

Who are you trying to reach and how do you get your message out?

The primary focus is disadvantaged teens and young adults, but the overall message is for people in general. I get my message out through writings on my blogs, through the I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History books, causes, groups, fan pages, word of mouth and through conversations that are one on one or sometimes in group settings. Although the books are available through Barnes and Noble, Amazon and a few other retail outlets; my focus is more basic because disadvantaged youth are not the biggest consumers to those types of businesses.

In order to reach them, I distribute the books to churches, community organizations, other authors, and business people that have contact with younger people to make sure that the books are seen by them. I spend time giving the books away to young people myself. I am also arranging book give away and I have begun with a youth home in Stockton, CA and a young ladies organization in Alabama. I am always looking for organizations and individuals that work with youth that will help spread the reach of the books.

What is your vision or passion?

My vision is to see more productivity and signs of common-unity. Less negative messages, visions, and actions. I understand that the world is not perfect, but I would like to focus more on the positive aspects and activities of life.

What new projects are you working on?

I am working on volume 4 of I Am Royalty: Profiles in Black History, my upcoming autobiography, a campaign of mutual support that involves the media and building bridges with across the country.

How can someone reach you?

I can be reached through either of my websites www.SeeingGrowth.com or www.LabelMeRoyalty.com. I also have 2 business pages on Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/ProfilesInBlackHistory and http://www.facebook.com/CN1GROW .

Tell us what has been the most challenging thing you've had to conqueror?

The most challenging thing for me in the present has been to learn acceptance and understanding that everyone does not have the same vision or passion that I have. Rejections once caused me to question myself and slowed me down, but that allowed me to sit still and listen to the voice that I really needed to hear.

Emmanuel, I want to thank you for sharing your vision with us. I wish you only continued success, expansion and fulfillment as you move in what you have been called to do.

Blessings abound
